Pyramid Pose

Pyramid or Parsvottonasana is a Level 1 or beginner level posture.The name Pyramid is of course derived from the triangle or pyramid shape that the pose creates. Sometimes the pose is also referred to as Intense Stretch Pose since the pose does provide a major stretch for just about the entire body.

As with most stretching postures, make sure you listen to your body and don’t push beyond your limits. Be cautious with this pose if you’re suffering from any stomach illness.
